India is in dire need of a spiritual revolution that will transform every village into an ideal one. With a vision that youth will have a major role in fulfilling this task, the Agriculture and Rural Development Wing in 2011 has launched the Rural Youth Empowerment Project. Internal powers of the youth are awakened through Rajayoga Meditation, thus making their lives principled and value-based.

Objectives of the project:

• To steer villages on to the path of development through participation of rural youth
• To develop an empowered and ideal personality among the youth
• To generate awareness of Sustainable Yogic Agriculture
• To protect the environment
• To form youth groups that work on creative tasks
• To educate the rural youth to value their time
• To free the rural youth from addictions
• To generate benevolent and positive feelings among the rural youth
• To encourage rural youth to adopt value-based lifestyle Programmes for Rural Youth under this Project:
• Formation of rural youth clubs, farmers' clubs and self-help groups
• Rajayoga Camps
• Trainings for Sustainable Yogic Agriculture
• Cleanliness, Environment and Health programs
• Eradication of social evils
• Development of basic facilities in villages
• Art, Sports and Skills Competitions
• Technical and Non-Technical Trainings

This project serves to ignite the flame of spirituality in rural youth, to empower them spiritually and to inspire them to realize the real purpose of the life. The project will build new hope, mobilizing their unlimited power to steer them in the right direction. Thus the rural youth will truly serve themselves, society and the whole nation. They will be partners to bring about a new era through transformation of rural India.
